Sunset Boardwalk

I had been out to shoot this particular pier several times, I was really drawn to the complete symmetry of the view. On this night, I returned, unsure of what to expect. The tide was almost all the way in, therefore shooting the photo from below wasn’t an option; so I chose to shoot it straight from the top, however I had just one problem. The pier was packed with people.

Just as mother nature was putting on her final show of the evening all of the people cleared out and started heading home for the night. For a moment in time it felt like I had the whole scene to myself. I quickly fired off one last shot as I knew this would be my only opportunity to capture this magnificent sight.

I was mesmerized as I stood watching the last burst of light for the evening, peak and then fade away into complete darkness.
